Wide receiver Chad Owens joins Levelwear as Brand Ambassador for the 2017 CFL Season

TORONTO (June 29, 2017)  Levelwear, a premium sports athletic apparel brand, announced a multi-year partnership with the Canadian Football League’s Saskatchewan Roughriders today, commencing with the 2017 season. Levelwear holds licensing partnerships with some of the top global brands, including the NHL and NHLPA, NBA and NBPA, CFL and CFLPA, 75 US Colleges, Hockey Canada and various soccer properties around the world. This is the first corporate partnership the company has with an individual CFL franchise.

“We are excited to have Levelwear as a part of the team this season,” said Steve Mazurak, Roughrider VP, Sales and Corporate Partnerships. “They are a global licensor who also scores touchdowns in the on-trend athleisure category. We are very fortunate our fans enjoy our brand so much that many make wearing the Rider ‘S’ part of their daily lifestyle, with Levelwear pieces aligning perfectly.”

Fans will be able to purchase Levelwear gear in The Rider Store starting this weekend at the Canada Day home-opener game at Mosaic Stadium. Known for innovative design and treatment, each piece of apparel will be carefully-crafted by the Levelwear in-house design team to create quality merchandise for every fan.

To celebrate Canada Day, Levelwear will be providing a unique and engaging photo opportunity outside Mosaic Stadium. Roughly 1,200 fans will have a chance to participate in a living mosaic/collage. Fans can visit the pregame party for the chance to have their photo taken and the mosaic will be posted online at www.sport.levelwear.com

In addition to being a Proud Partner of the Riders, Levelwear also welcomes wide receiver Chad Owens as this season's Brand Ambassador. The 34-year-old Honolulu native has played in the CFL since 2009 and has recorded 5,982 receiving yards and 54 total touchdowns. Owens made a name for himself with the Toronto Argonauts from 2010-2015, before joining the Hamilton Tiger-Cats in 2016. The CFL veteran signed a free-agent contract with Saskatchewan in February.

"We're proud to kick this season off with the Saskatchewan Roughriders and Chad Owens,” said Hilton Ngo, President of Levelwear. “We are excited to deliver a unique fan experience and be part of Rider Nation.”
